He hates Brett McMurphy for writing the article about his boy EC. So he is telling the media to go to hell. Until Brett shaves his porn mustache he will not speak with the media.

The media is not happy with him, but the bottom line is that this is his team/program, and if he feels the media is being too intrusive, then he has every right to do what he is doing now.

Those of you that think that winning will fix things, I disagree. I am afraid winning and more attention could make things worse. People are who they are and just because a guy is great at laying a foundation doesn't mean he can do a great job painting the house. Emotion can only carry you so far. I watched this guys press conference and saw the poise, confidence and character that champions posses.

Leavitt seemed to be in a very good mood last night on his call in radio show. He was joking around and laughing just like the Leavitt that we know. I think what you are reading into is this crap from the media. Leavitt pissed off the media because he is pissed off at them. Leavitt is not mad at the fans. In fact, Leavitt went out of his way to give the students props about the nice showing they had at McNeese St. He alway mentioned on how well attended the Round Up was at the SUNDOME last week. He praised the Beef Studs for their school spirit, and said that is what college football is all about. So, please dont believe the hype coming from this media circus just because they are pissed off at Leavitt because he is not giving them good stuff to write about.

He's upset at a certain media outlet, and they've lashed back with some tacky articles.  He's the same guy, saw him a week ago.  Don't read the Tribune's opinions they're worthless.

I think they're planning to build an addition to their stadium so plenty of room for bandwagoners.  Feel free to join, and we'll certainly miss you!

As it stands most of us realize that Leavitt dislikes the media by and large so they betray him as far more aloof and distant than he really is.  He's one of the most affable and nicest guys to any alum, and will make time for virtually any alum.

Just because some news papers have disrespected his wishes and he lashed back, and then decided instead of letting water roll under the bridge that they would write some cheap, and tacky articles about him doesn't make him that person.  If you've met him before you know he's one of the nicest guys- providing you do not play for him.

The media has given him reasons to distrust.  Remember Eddie Cardieri was a very good friend and he didn't like how someone portrayed him before his resignation.

Agree totally, When I first met him when the football team was being formed I thought how easygoing and nice he was, very friendly (but focused, you can see it in his eyes). Eddie has the same quality.  CJL is very approachable and intelligent as well.  I hope he is around for his entire career, USF will be going up up up (as we have been) as long as he is here.  Anyone who says different just doesn't know what is going on with the program.
