Are there any other Head Coaches in the league who say "I Don't Know" as much as CL?  He must have the shortest press conferences of anyone in D-1A

True....very true.  Sitting through a Zook press conference is worse than when I had a molar pulled w/o anisthetic.

Well, on second thought, maybe not QUITE that bad......but close.

Leavitt is a master at the coach speak.  I thinkk even Tony Dungy could learn a thing or two from sitting at the master's feet......and Dungy is a coach speak talent himself!

Pat (Julmiste) is a pretty good quarterback

WHAAAAAAAAA???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you freakin' kidding me?  I know he's said this for 4 seasons now, but I just can't take it any more.  Not only is Pat not a "good" QB, he wouldn't be adequate enough to make most 1-A rosters as a WALK-ON!

I just wish that Coach Leavitt would say only once.....just ONCE....that Pat has been disappointing throughout his career.  That's a very mildly understated and possibly overly kind way to say it.  But good grief....to call him a "good" QB is ridiculous.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Well, I for one don't want him to publicly criticize a player.  Julmiste might not have been great, and his numbers arent that good, but he was our best option last year.  I see no reason to throw him under the bus for leading us to USF's first bowl game.  Of course, having a QB that threw more than 1 TD pass in the last 6 or 7 games (I forget) would have helped against UConn, WVU, and NC State, but that is no reason to say hes bad in public.

windbane...

I'm not saying he should bash him publicly.  What I'm saying is he can quit "spinning" Julmiste now that a freshman has outperformed him (a senior).  The secret that was somehow a secret to select Bulls fans (don't ask me how) is now out: Julmiste has never been nor will ever be an adequate D-1 QB, let alone a BCS conference starting QB.

I don't want him to bash him, but I also don't want him to feed the college football world that load of crap, saying he's a "good" QB.  Yes, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.  Very true.  But isn't it also the case that if you don't have anything TRUE to say, you should say nothing at all?

That's all.  Not so much to ask, is it?
