3 starters suspended

what is coaching staff and athletic department doing to make sure this doesnt happen again

drug counselors should be brought in  post haste

a antidrug plan that is ongoing thru the year must be put in place to address this team problem

I agree.  Enough said.

Actually, smazza, the tests took place in June, and counseling has been occurring ever since then.  However, I agree that this is an auspicious start to the season.

Smazz..but it was your AD (with drug policy advisement from USF Sports Medicine?) that just weakened USF Drug Policy for Athletics.

Why would he do something post haste now?

KL

PS. USF's change in drug policy from other reports today:

From article:

During the 2005-06 school year, USF's substance-abuse policy stated an athlete with a second positive test would be suspended from 50 percent of the team's games. If the athlete's second positive test occurred after the regular season, ended, the suspension carried over to the next season.

However, for the 2006-07 school year, which begins Monday, the penalty for a second positive test will be reduced to only a suspension from 20 percent of the team's games.

The reduction in the percentage of games suspended from 50 to 20 percent for the 2006-07 school year was approved by Woolard based on a recommendation from Clements, assistant AD Steve Walz and USF's sports medicine staff, Clements said.

Poor KL he so blinded by O'liar that he has no problem with his head coach overlooking major crimes by his own players.

Funny how we have a UCFer jumping into every thread with quotes from newspaper articles, but they cannot provide any links to supposed stories about their own school! ;D

Hey KL what do you suppose the half-life of this post is going to be?

Some people won't like the truth....

Nobody circles the wagons better when it comes to lies and deception than O'Liar  and Friends.

Wow Cyber....as much as it is probably annoying to have KL stick his nose in your thread...you definitely jumped on the opportunity to use that to change the subject.

You might want to encourage him to come back to help you sidestep.

04... you're missing the point.  We think it's funny that you guys jump on ever negative article about USF to try and portray us as a "renegade" program when you yourselves are guilty of even worse... covering up a crime, biased reporting, and letting your kids play when under investigation for assaulting a cop.

It's not that hard to understand.
