Garden City CC DT Commits To USF

TAMPA - Garden City (Kan.) Community College sophomore DT Kevin Dixon verbally committed to the University of South Florida, the Bulls' fifth commitment for 2007.

A 2005 Sebring High graduate, Dixon (6-4, 275) said he also considered Florida State and Auburn.

"The No. 1 reason was I wanted to get back close to Sebring," Dixon said. "Also the coaches are great  just the whole environment. It's lovely."

Last season at Garden City, Dixon's five sacks were a team high and tied for eighth in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. He also had 34 tackles.

FYI: Voss is a QB in the eyes of the USF staff.

i posted this on the main board, but does anybody know if Voss is ranked nationally, ranked in the state, or if these guys have been given a star ranking yet?

I know ... I just put athlete because you never know   I did change it on the first post.

With our depth next season and Allen already going to Safety, sure he will be at QB. AND hopefully GrothEEEEEEEE does great and we can RS Voss.

If Grothe starts this season, the you can probably expect Voss to redshirt. I wouldn't be surprised if we went after another QB.
