the rays should become the Tarpons, it sounds better.

its not very original, but its better than rays, or devil rays.

The should change the name to the Tampa Bay Doormats.  Or the American League East practice squad.

Very similar in their dedication to winning as our mens basketball program.

Why should the Devil Rays, they don't have 130 or 200 Million to compete with the payrolls of the Red Sox and Yankees.

If they spent 70-80 what will that help?

If the Marlins move and Rays get state TV rights, they'll compete.

I agree, except what division?

NL East makes sense geographically, but again, they would be going up against some pretty tough competition in the Braves/Mets.  Mets are starting to spend like the yankees/sox and the Braves have owned the division for a decade until this season.

Mets starting to spend? They have been a top spending MLB payroll for about the last ten years.  You didnt notice as much because they were paying Bobby Bonilla, Mo Vaughn, Mike PIazza and Tom Glavine all the money and losing, all products of the idiotic mind of Steve Phillips, Omar minaya is the best GM in the game.  Mets will be THE team in NY, while the Yanks will take the back burner.

Devill Rays would be in last place if they were in the NL East.
