You're just racist against D-1AA  teams

He fails to realize that some teams need the extra home game from a financial perspective.

He suggests that since USF and NC State have a I-AA team on the same day, that USF should have played at NC State.  Well, not only would USF lose the ticket revenue from the game, but then would have travel expenses to boot.

Sorry, but as long as there are 119 I-A teams trying to schedule as many home games as possible in a 12-game season, some schools will have to play a I-AA team every year.

Personally, I agree, but the NCAA allows it and counts it toward bowl eligibility, so why not.

Not to mention that the article is over 2 months old.  CFN has very rarely had nice things to say about USF.

I believe this was posted when the article ran back in March.

It would be great to schedule an entire slate of 1 A programs, but it would be tough in the year when we have only 3 Big East home games.

he didnt even have the right bowl game.  Champs Sports bowl?

It just solidifies how far off the radar screen we can be with these writers.  It seems everybody that writes about USF on the national level gets it wrong.   Example....USF loses its opening game to Ky. Wesleyan 80-3 in the ESPN College Football Guide or whatever they called it.  Come on...that's a MATERIAL mistake.  I have to question the credibility of everything else in the publication!

Unfortunately, the only press that gets right, it seems, is about top 20 teams.  And there is just no shortage of that.  I get so sick of seeing the same highlights all day Saturday during football season. Open the gates up a little, guys.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
