100 Games, 100 wins...  It's simple.

So I can easily see USF going to a bowl game every year...

I'll be at every friggin one too!   ;D

More succintly, USF has had five years of bowl eligibility, and four of those years they were technically bowl eligible (granted some stupid snafus on our part, and biased on other parts kept us out of contention for bowls in three of those years)

Five years of 1-A bowl opportunity and four years of bowl eligibility- it would take a real moron to not realize how amazing that fact is- unfortunately a few of those have found their way to these boards. :-/

I would beg to differ that USF was bowl eligible in either 2001 or 2003.

Yes, we had a winning record those years - but that is not the only factor that makes you eligible.  The eligiblity requirements also require wins over I-A or certain I-AA teams.  USF could have done that with a win over UAB in 2003, but they did not.  In 2001, they didn't play enough I-A teams.

So that's two eligible seasons in five years.

Actually in 2003 we were capable of being eligible had we selected the right 1-AA team to play.  Which is why I said snafus on our part.  I imagine we could have just as easily beaten another more qualified 1-AA team had we scheduled properly.  In 2001, I was under the impression we could have used a 1-AA exemption but we were transition and technically the NCAA wouldn't grant us a bowl exception.

So, technically we were eligible but stupidity and NCAA rules prevented us from realizing the dream.  Still 2 years of actual eligibility, and 2 years of having sufficient wins to be considered still is impressive.
