if history is a precursor it will be PJ

But Denson started and did not even play in the Spring Game last year.

GrothE will be the Man !

Yeah -- that is a good point.  The fact we open the first two weeks against sub-par opponents has got to help grothe's chances.

But like i said..  The UNC and Kansas game will be the tale of the season.

We need to win one of those two games.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves Ari, Grothe will make tremendous strides this summer and fall practice will decide who the starter will be and not this past spring game.

I think Grothe made tremendous strides in the game.  First throw was bad (arm strength?) .  The pick in the endzone was a freshman trying to do too much.  The touchdown pass was nice.  Tribune had him 11-19, 1 TD and 2 INT.  Over 50% passing.  Admittedly, no blitzing and softer coverage, but neither PJ nor CHill were at 50%.

still think the experience factor is going to be huge for PJ>

I think CJL is a little on the wuss side when it comes to making bold moves like this.  He really really really likes experience.  i can tell.  we see eye to eye on a lot.  he is my boy.

Yeah, it sounds to me like we'll see PJ starting the fall unless something radically changes after summer practice starts.  It's too bad, I'd rather see Grothe get the snaps during the first couple games since we all know that PJ is gonna likely screw it up later on and be replaced.  We should give Grothe the best chance we can.

PJ may open the first game but MG is going to get a strong look in that first game.  IF he plays, the first ruff patch Pat see, here comes Matt.  Musical QB chairs will be the theme for '06.  Might even see Denson imitate Brian Fisher a few times.

He is going to get pulled over and found to have a boat load of back child support payments due ;)

He has been proving that for two years.

That was going to be my response, but you said it first.

How long is it going to take for CJL to realize that PJ simply isn't a good passer, and can't think on his feet? I've said it before and I'll say it again. He is THE WORST Division I QB I've ever seen. The truly sad part about it is that he seems to be getting worse as time goes on, not better.

I simply ask all of you these questions:

1. How could you possibly have a worse QB running the team than PJ?

2. If what is on the bench are worse QB's than PJ then why did they get recruited in the first place?

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
