They were talking about they had a lot of deaths of family members and friends for Va Tech this year.  Said some crazy number of funerals they attended as a team this year.  

That "Close loss in a Big Game " look did open many many wounds.

Record at Virginia Tech: 45-44 (0.506)

Record at USF: 108-100 (0.519)

Record at Long Beach State: 105-70 (0.600)

Career record: 258-214 (0.546)

Career record in NCAA tournament over 16 years: 0-2

Career record in NIT over 16 years: 1-4

One more interesting bit of trivia - Long Beach State suffered 3 consecutive losing seasons immediately after Seth left before winning 24 games in the fourth year.

I think Seth will bring Vtech to an NCAA appearance.  Ari is right.  He's completely turned that program around.  They were basically the Big East Version of USF in the ACC before he got there, now they're ALMOST beating Duke and putting a scare into a lot of teams.

He's a competitor and has to compete...he'll end up in the booth, no doubt.  He enjoys that very much and can be pretty good.
