what happened to the #61 recruiting class?

if you think leavitt and co will turn a #61 class into an 11-1 record or a conference championship, you are dreaming

I don't think its fair to use just one year if your going to compare this year's Final Polls.

That Oregon class had a top 12 class in 2004 and top 25 in 2003.

The Cal team had top 20 classes in 2003/2004 and the 9th rated in 2005

Va Tech had top 25 classes in 2003-05

Miss st. was nailed for NCAA violations and lost a lot of schoalrships

SC, I get what your saying, I can go on, but teams that consistently recruit high rated classes stay at the top.

I don't know if he will or not, and neither do you.

SC, that Mississippi St team lost most of tehir players because of probation. Those that stayed behind were guys like Jarious Norwood who were great players, but not talented enough. do the math of the last for recruiting classes.

I would put money on:

USC

Ohio State

LSU

Texas

Average being in the top 10.

Joe,

I understand what you are saying.  My point is one or even two classes in a row, whether they be high or low, doesn't guarantee any specific results.

SC, they didn't keep those players they recruited those years. Whereas top guys like Culberson were prep schooled and will be juniors next season etc.

I agree, no great recruiting class assures wins. Ask Ron Zook.
