According to Rivals,  David Fonua has verbally committed to USF.  Fonua was Class 3A first team DE as a junior(the 2005 team has not been released yet).  Looks like an excellent addition to a position of need.

for some reason people seem to believe that players from 6a or 5a are better than those coming from 4a or 3a.

for the most part a lot of these schools still play great teams in florida.  the only exceptions would be when you get into the 1a and 2a schools because those are mostly private schools.  look at 4a schools in floridas title game (Nease which is home to Tim Teabow, and Armwood)

Wasn't C Hill a Class 1a qb?

I think alot of people are counting on him and he never played against the type of top high school competition that would test him as a qb. Plus he only went 6-6 his senior year. Makes me kind of nervous knowing our offensive coaches may need to develop this kid.

CJ Spiller, Colin McCarthy and Riley Cooper are three examples of highly sought after recruits that are in the lower(1a, 2a or 2b) classifications.  Obviously there will be more players with D-1 talent in the high classes but just because someone comes from a lower class does not mean they can't be an excellent player.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
