After a one hour-45 minute practice at Providence Day School this morning, it was off to Lowe's Motor Speedway this afternoon, where almost every USF player and several coaches each took three laps around the track at 160 miles per hour. Head coach Jim Leavitt competed with NC State head coach Chuck Amato in a tire changing competition with Amato taking the title after Leavitt refused all offers for practice time.  Friday brings Media Day and a team luncheon, followed by a brief walk-through at Bank of America Stadium where the Bulls and Wolfpack meet Saturday at 11 a.m. on ESPN2.

Hey Bulliever,

Does that mean you are here in Charlotte?

Will you be in the stands or in the press box Saturday?

Let me know on here,

Thanks,

Mike Camunas

Okay, I take it back. Those are the pictures from the site, but if you look at that crazy picture of Amarri and Leavitt, I'm behind Leavitt to the left.

Props to photo guy for getting some great shots.

The event was extremely fun, and there will be more on it in the Times tomorrow.

Later,

Mike Camunas

Mike,

I have a pass, but will likely spend most of the time in the stands...I'm a fan first and a well-respected journalist second.   ;)  I have to be a fan for this one.

all the bulls players got to race around the track at 160 mph......

is this the smartest thing to do before the game?  i know it was just time trials laps with no one else out on the track but still....
