Updated road to a top 4 seed in AAC Tourney (Double Bye)

Things are looking good for us to get a double bye. We have a 1.5 game lead on FAU and Charlotte for 1st. and a 2.5 game lead on SMU and UAB for the 4th spot and final double bye. Only 6 games to play. 

 

We do play 3 very solid opponents, prob the best we have played, including Charlotte again at their house.  We play 3 we should beat no doubt. We should go no worse than 3-3. That would put us at 14-4 (WOW) at worse. That should lock up a bye. Beat the 3 bad teams we play and pick up one or two vs FAU, SMU, and Charlotte and that really makes a top 4 seed a reality. 

 

Best case is we win out, I see us likely dropping 1 or 2 (hope I am wrong) A win Saturday would be huge, but even if FAU comes out on top we are still in very good shape.

With USF continuing to win and holding the tiebreaker over Memphis and UNT, it is pretty much a 5 team race for the top 4 seeds. Unfortunately, UAB holds the tiebreaker over USF. Beating FAU would essentially give us a nice cushion against them as well, as we would be 2 games up in the loss column and hold the tiebreaker over them. With that being said, the SMU game is the most important one remaining on the schedule for the Bulls as it relates to securing a top 4 seed. Win that one and we should pretty much be assured of a double-bye.
