Ron and Ian are on 620 reporting that the story is in fact true. They said he was 18 years old and was found dead this morning in his apartment, near USF, by his girlfriend. They hear that there are speculations of suicide. I will see if I can find out something more for you guys. My bro is a HCSO deputy in that area.

My prayers are with Coach Dungy and his family. What a tragedy.

- I didn't hear it from the news and wasn't sure when it would come out. Heard it from a friend of the Dungy family, so I couldn't disclose. No need to apologize.

That might be the saddest thing I have heard in a long time.  Dungy on the brink of his greatest professional accomplishment -- losses his son to suicide.  Llife can't get worse then that.

Man -- that is terrible.!

If any of you have had the opportunity to meet Coach Dungy in the past, you know what kind of family man he is.  I'm not a religious person, and I'm the type that's very skeptical of those who are overly "religious", but Mr. Dungy is one of the few men I've met that truly walks the walk.

He's one of the kindest, honest, and geniune men I've ever met, and this news truly saddens me.  I can only imagine the issues his son was dealing with to cause something like this.  I wish him and his family true peace in this difficult time.

Go home and hug your kids tonight.

- It sure does. You're about the 10th person that said that to me this morning.

Cherish the time you spend with the ones you love this holiday season.
