The Bulls also announced the midseason transfer of 6-9, 270-pound Kentrell Gransberry, one of the nation's top junior college rebounders over the past two seasons. Gransberry signed with LSU and played just two minutes of the Tigers' exhibition game before deciding to transfer. He'll attend USF this spring and can practice with the team, and he'll be eligible to play one year from now after final exams in December 2006, with most of two seasons of eligibility with the Bulls.

As a sophomore at San Jacinto College in Texas, Kentrell led all junior college players with 13.7 rebounds a game last season in helping his team to a 31-3 record. He averaged a double-double in both his seasons at San Jacinto.

"We are extremely excited to add Kentrell to our program," USF coach Robert McCullum said. "In recent years we have lacked a physical presence inside and Kentrell's addition addresses that need, especially as we move into the BIG EAST."

not too old... a few days.  Certainly a good pickup... we need size, even if it is a short term fix.
