Scrolling through the cable Guide and was surprised to come across a Jai-Alai league. Had no idea it was still being played in the US, much less had a league. Loved going to watch the sport and betting on it at the Tampa fronton many, many, many moons ago ...

Same here....made our way to the fronton a lot.  Twas a fun game to watch until Onaindia (I think that was his name) would allow the ball to roll out of his cesta... I'm going to look for that league.

Name doesn't ring a bell ...... unless you really butchered it. Names that immediately come to this weakened mind are Almorza, Javy, Soriano, Aramayo, Bolivar, who I think was a super star in the world of Jai-Alai back then. I actually ran across the league on NESN. Although the game was down in Miami, if I recall correctly, there were frontons up in Connecticut and may be still there.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
