san francisco and houston would wipe the floor with USC.    that is probably the dumbest argument people come up with, that an college team could compete with any NFL team.  even if you had a college team of seniors that are all NFL prospects, an NFL team full of rookies is about the only team they would have a chance against.

many of USC's players probably could have played on an NFL team this year, including bush, leinart, and some others, but there is no way they would be as good as a team full of veteran NFL players, no matter how mediocre compared to the rest of the league.

i do hope that was a joke. really.

oh, and the pac-10 isnt as good as the ACC, SEC, Big 12, or Big 10 imo, but we could argue those kinds of things forever.

usc would beat SF if they were playing college rules on a college field

explain pac 10's 6-1 bcs bowl record

you saw what usc did to big 12's best last year

they will embarass texas the same way

Didn't USC beat Arkansas from the mighty SEC?  I think it was 70-17.  If the SEC was so tough from top to bottom, nobody would lose by such a score.

youre talking about one of the worst teams in the SEC against one of the best teams in college... that's a terrible comparison

put UGA, UF, LSU, Auburn, etc up against arizona or washington and they would win by 40 or so too

the difference between the Pac10 and the SEC is that in the Pac10 you can sleep walk through most of your schedule and your biggest games are OOC games, in the SEC you have to play Auburn, UGA, Bama, UT, UF, LSU, etc week after week and it is wearing on your team

While I do think that the SEC at the top may be better, I don't buy that from top to bottom that it is so much better than the other conferences.  I am tired of the SEC fanatics who seem to think that all the teams in the league are so much tougher than the teams in any other conference.  Arkansas is an example.  I do not think that USC rolled anyone in the Pac 10 70-17.
