Only the UCLA game comes close.  I could make a point that SC would be more motivated to defeat their crosstown rivals than they would any out of conference game, but I doubt the SEC people would agree.

pete carroll's greatest coaching is keeping kids motivated

when these boys are motivated look what they can do

ok last year in championship game

reggie bush when he needed stats to win heisman

they haven't lost in 34 games?

44 out of 45 games

no one on this board has ever seen such a dynasty in college football

and usc will be there next year provided pete is there or the right coach

three pete

guess that makes the Pac-10 6-2 in BCS games now?  huh.  I suppose Texas would also be able to beat San Francisco now?  And what difference does it make if they play by college or NFL rules?  NFL players remember what it's like to play in college, the 2 feet in and overtime rule differences wouldnt be too much to adjust to again.  but whatever, Texas was the best team USC played this year and they lost.

again, I'm not going to argue conference strengths because when an SEC team beats an ACC team that beats a Big-10 team that beats an SEC team, it gets rather pointless.  and that happens a lot.

oh, and btw, it wouldnt have been a 3-peat for national champions, it would have been a 3-peat AP championship.  the BCS system is stupid but it was the agreed upon system that caused LSU, not USC, to become national champions 2 years ago.  there are no longer co-champions, and even so there have been undefeated teams such as a few Jo-Pa teams that have been undefeated and not won the national championship in the past.  love it or hate it, the BCS is the official system and USC only won 1 national championship in the last 3 years.  I was certainly upset 3 years ago when USC didnt get a chance to play LSU, but that's what happens with the BCS.

Is Auburn any less a champion last year with 2 running backs that did very well this year in the NFL as rookies?  not in my opinion.  they were just as undefeated as USC the previous year.  but they also were not officially national champions.  oh well.

I'm not sure why you think you know better than any NFL analyst or knowledgable football fan.  No college team, no matter how talented, could beat an NFL team.  Some of the greatest college teams in history did not have enough NFL-ready players to compete with a veteran NFL team.  The physical ability of the NFL players, along with the fact that NFL teams are all college all-star teams with more experience, make this fact obvious to all but you apparently.

But hey, since Texas was a better team that night I suppose you think they could beat some NFL teams too.  Whatever.
