Don't forget that the Gator will alternate w/ the Sun next year.  Houston also has a decent payout (more than a million).

I am dissappointed with the level of competition the BE will be playing over the money. The BCS money is comming in, the Houston Bowl plays the 6th pick of the Big 12 and Sun Bowl will get the 3rd pick of the Pac-10.

The Sun is on CBS while Houston has perhaps the best stadium in pro football.  Schools could also recruit better in Texas.

I don't really agree with the recruiting aspect, but the exposure of the Sun Bowl should help. I forgot that it was on CBS. What does playing in a great pro stadium for the Houston Bowl do?

Houston also has one of the NICEST stadiums in all of pro football.  i wouldnt mind making t hat trip next year....but i guess i could live with a BCS trip next year.
