AAC Golf Tournaments

The women's tournament is underway. After the first round, USF is holding its own and sits tied for 3rd at -4, 8 strokes back of SMU at -12. The women's team is ranked #57, but that is only good for #5 in the conference. The women continue round 2 today at Southern Hills in Brooksville. 

On the men's side, this year's squad doesn't look as strong as year's past. It is a younger team, with just 1 junior, 3 sophomores, and a freshman. It was expected to be a learning and rebuilding year for the Bulls, who are ranked #87, which is 6th best in the conference. There is always the chance of getting hot and winning the conference tournament, but Cincinnati appears to be the favorites, ranked #37 in the country. After Cincy, there are 5 teams, including USF, that are ranked between #53 and 87 in the country, so things could get interesting.  The tournament begin Friday at the Pelican Club in Belleair, FL.
