Order of finishing IMO: Rodriguez, Leavitt, Schiano

If Leavitt beats WVa this weekend, that will change. We were predicted to finish near last remember?

No offense to Leavitt, but he will get it in the near future.  I think this year it should go to Rutgers Coach Schaino

WVU won or shared the Big East title each of the last three seasons, so I don't think Rodriguez gets it.  (It would be like giving Pete Carroll the Pac 10 Coach of the year award).

I would bet the award goes to Schiano given what he has done at Rutgers, especially this season.  RU almost came back against both USF and WVU, and still managed to go 7-4.  First bowl game since 1978, and first winning season since 1991.

I would think Leavitt comes in second if USF beats WVU.  The losses to Pitt and U Conn prevent him from getting the award.  To be sure, USF was expected to finish 7th and could end up tied for 2nd.  That might prompt some votes for him.  However, given that USF only has two losing seasons, our history actually goes against him.

I would vote for CJL, but I don't get a vote in this one.

No offense to leavitt or schiano, but rod wins BECOTY hands down.  Rod's getting national Coach of the Year attention for the job he's done with our young squad.  We were picked to finish 3rd in the confrence in the preseason poll and didn't get a single first place vote.  If Rod doesn't win BECOTY, I'll call shenanigans. ;D

It's hard to make an arguement for Shiano or Leavitt.  Schiano got to a bowl game but his team got it's clock cleaned in a piss poor showing @ Louisville.  Leavitt has an impressive UofL win, but you can't win COTY with the playcalling observed in the UCONN game.
