Just now, Dave_Glaser said:

Let’s talk about coaching - having Chaplin bring the ball up the floor against pressure? No way. Why would you choose that? But, OK, you have to be encouraged by tonight. If we’re going to play like this in league play, we have a real chance against everybody but Houston.

He inbounded the ball a couple of times to Harris and then Harris gave it up when he was double teamed.  I'm not sure who to go to.  Maybe Hines or Miguel.   I honestly don't know.

Miguel or Hines before Chaplin. Or bring Conwell in or Smith. Chaplin’s handle is way too loose to have him with the ball trying to break full court pressure. He’s also not strong in the upper body to take the bumping.

We went toe to toe with one of the top teams in the conference who will probably be ranked next week.  Our best player couldn't crack their lineup last season.   In a game of streaks they got the last one.   Not happy about the outcome, but we should win some games and be somewhere around the middle of the pack and that would be quite an improvement and much more than what was expected

Even with this loss we are much improved and will win more games than what many of you think. We started the season with a group of players, now we are becoming a team not to be taken lightly in conference play.....Go Bulls

No question. Memphis has wins against Vandy, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Stanford, Texas A&M and Auburn, and a 3-point loss to No. 3 Bama. That’s a good team and we played right with them all the way to the wire in their building. This is not the same USF team we’ve been watching the past couple of years.

Our big man Tchewa sucks, if we had a decent big man we would of won that game. They killed us on the inside and all Tchewa did is foul. Then on the offense of end he got blocked, 3 second calls.

Memphis had a good game plan to try to get the ball out of Harris’s hands specially when dribbling in up the court.

there was a couple steals that were bad reads, harris had 3 guys closing in on him and he threw it to another Memphis player he had people 2 players wide open. The coaches can can’t do nothing about that.

The reason the game was close is because we shot 77% from the free throw line. If we can do that the rest of the season, we will be in games until the end and will probably win a lot of them.

We only have a chance to win down the stretch in a game like this if we keep attacking. If we go into a half court offense, we can’t get it done. We were hoping we could get it into Harris’ hands and keep getting him to the free throw line. That was the only plan down the stretch - nothing else in the half court. The majority of our offense comes when there’s tempo. If it’s a half court set, we struggle, and part of that is because Tchewa is unreliable. He misses a ton in close because he can’t get off the floor, and he’s mostly indecisive when he gets the ball. If he took a pass and knew what he wanted to do with it,  made a move, he’d be OK. But he takes too much time.

Worst part about tonight was wasting all those points from Smith.
