They’re called long johns, and they have nothing to do with that freakish tight end that doesn’t wear a towel … Football players can play with broken bones, dislocated joints, bumps, bruises, scraps, and an assortment of other injuries that would make most Americans pay more attention to those ads with the duck, but put the Florida players in winter weather conditions (cough, USF vs. Connecticut, cough cough), and they suddenly become as soft as the Stanford pass defense with the game on the line.

I swear if another person asks me if the game was as cold as it looked Im gonna smack them..jk...unless you were there (and if you werent lucky you) that place was absolutley freezing! Snow not melting after the day and a half we were there was evidence of that...but like I said a couple of weeks ago, most of these players have never seen snow, nor have they played in it (near it) Im not trying to make excuses, just trying to give some of you guys a picture...

The worst I've ever been to was a game where it was around 40, and by the end of it I was about ready to die. It's one thing to go outside into sub-freezing weather for a few minutes. Quite another to be out there for three or four hours. All the heat escapes from your body and you spend the rest of the time trying not to get colder.

Weak.  Weather can't be a factor.  It's a human body either way.  If you're wearing clothing suitable for the temperature you should be fine.  And yes, I've played in it.

Weather can be factor. You have to get your body use to playing in the cold. UCONN was a lil bit more prepared to play in the cold, thay practiced in for the last 2 weeks. Now i'm not making excuses for the loss, because they still could have won, but the weathe was a factor. And yes I played in the snow and we loss also.

again get over it...teams come to FL in the heat...we have to go north in the cold.

i personally feel we have more of an advantage in the heat than they do the cold.
