Christmas in Detroit or New Year's Eve in Charlotte, N.C. That is what remains of the University of South Florida's bowl options after Saturday's BCS-eliminating, gut-wrenching 15-10 loss at Connecticut.

The Bulls (6-4, 4-2 Big East) are guaranteed an invitation to the Meineke Car Care Bowl in Charlotte, N.C. (Dec. 31, 11 a.m.) if one of two results occur: USF beats No. 12 West Virginia on Saturday or UConn loses to Louisville.

cool, i thought it would be up to the bowl to decide among the BE bowl eligible teams....and it also means this game has a lot of meanining to it. There has to be a big payout difference between these 2 bowls.

it wont be FSU.  ive already heard that the Champs bowl is in talks with them assuming they lose to Va Tech.

The only other team i heard mentioned besides Clemson is Ga Tech.
