Do you know it wouldn’t have mattered last year?  The only  2 G5 teams  are moving to the P5, only 1 was top 12. And P5 teams are scheduling fewer G5 games making it harder to get ranked. Maybe if they go to top 50 it might help. But it’s headed to 2 divisions.

Do you know it WOULD have mattered every year of the CFP before that if they had the format they're going to? A G5 is guaranteed a playoff spot when they go to it .... You may want to familiarize yourself with the new format.

There's been a top 25 ranked G5 conf champion every year since the inception of the playoffs. Odds are of that changing is pretty low ....... but, bottom line, there will be a G5 team in the playoffs under the new system so this thread was born of outdated ignorance. Everybody makes mistakes, slick, best to just own up and/or move on.
