Gotta agree (crap....did I just post that? or did I just think it?) with Steve on this one.

As entertaining as the BCS bowl would have been, my gut fear was that we'd show up and get hammered 72-3 on national television. Think it couldn't happen? Hey...we just lost to a team with a losing record by a score of 10-15.

Bear in mind that any bowl appearance is mui bueno for someone less than ten years old. And which "bowl" would we have gone to in our non-conference 2001 9-2 season? I seem to recall we would have been happy with ANY bowl.

I find it hard to believe that anyone is going to bypass the first bowl in USF history, simply because it's not a BCS bowl.  However...if you want to protest by not going...knock yourself out. Cause there's no guarantee that there will be a USF bowl trip next year...

Bowl game once again will be game #100, and will be one of the most memorable games in our short lived history...We were picked to finish 7TH in the conference, and we were looking at a possible 4 wins...I know the Pitt game hurt and this one is definetly going to sting for awhile, but you do have to look at the fact we could be going to a Bowl game...I dont know about anyone else but I am **** sure excited about it!!

don't forget if uconn beats l'ville who will probably be without brohm they will be bowl eligible...

As bent out of shape as we all are:

(1) It was a winning season.

(2) We made the national media radar.

(3) We beat UCF.

(4) We beat Louisville.

(5) We are a 9 year old program, still getting started.

(6) We are playing the teams we need too,  Miami, Penn State.

As bummed as I am with the loss, I am still upbeat.  Here is the WVU game on Saturday and looking forward to next season.  I we get to a bowl, all the better.

We still have to re-negotiate with CJL and come over some other hurdles during the off season.
