Field Goal was kicked w/2:07 left in the fourth.  I thought the FG was cowardly when it happened but in hindsight maybe it wasn't that bad.

I think he was trying to win the game the entire time.

For instance, they went for the 2 point conversion to put the game within 16. They failed, which may the difference 18. So when they had 4th and somewhat long, he took the points he could get right then hoping to get lucky twice.

hey-- I lost money on the game as well. But it wasn't because the coach would bother betting on his team to cover a spread. At least, I don't it was because of that.

18 points, looks like they covered by 3, hmmmm.

That you're implying they kicked the FG to cover the spread is the bush league part of this entire thread. It is bush league for 2 reasons:

1) Cincinnati was already covering the spread. The line started out at 18.5 and went up to 19 points at the end of the week.

2) When you're down 18 points, you get points any way you can. Going for the FG was the correct call on 4th down and 5. Cincinnati needed 3 scores, with a FG being one of them, so it's pointless to call it "bush league".

on a side note, how about a list of everyone's top three most hated schools and/or football teams??

that should be entertaining  ;D

1. FSU

2. Louisville

3. PITT

I think that FSU will soon be replaced by Louisville and #3 will be West Virginia.

I was in Vegas last weekend. Before I got on the plane Friday the spread was 18, by time I got there it was 19.5, and by the time the game started it was 21. While I was watching the game in the sportsbook I was shocked to see us as the featured game.
