I'm not sure we'll ever be rivals with Rutgers just because our schools are so very, very different. They're a "Public Ivy," we're a commuter school. They have one of the oldest college football teams, we have one of the newest. I think we'll have a good series with them, but a "rivalry" seems unlikely. I think we're much more likely to end up being rivals with Pitt, especially since the series has been so even so far.

If we had Rutgers schedule we would already be bowl-eligible.

We have a cakewalk schedule until we play WVU.

I agree, although Connecticut in late November get get mighty cold...I hope these Florida kids know how to play cold-weather football.

They stormed the field against Navy bc it made them bowl eligable fdor the first time in like almost 15 years which is longer than our program all together...So I can see them being happy...

your hear of the term "one hit wonder"?? Rutgers is a "one year wonder" I think they go 7-4 and are known as the greatest RU team ever...fast foward 2006...back to reality and 3-8...no Hart...no Moses...no Leonard...no wins

They are the oldest football program and Shiano is not getting fired.  This is arguable one of there best seasons ever....trust me.

I think they will continue to improve and hopefully it becomes a rivalry.  I had a blast at the game over the weekend.

If they do well it is good news for the BE because of the location and potential media coverage.  You might say they don't get any play now but if they become a contender that will change big time.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
