I'm not so sure of that.  Maybe to keep us from being eligible...but I think we need to go 7-4 to really have a shot.  If not, we're going to be watching SEC and Big 12 teams on the verge of a winning or losing season more than we'd like to.

In 1998, we had the same situation that you had in 2002 or 2003 regarding the Hawaii Bowl.  The only differnce is that UCF needed the favorite to win (was it Miami and UCLA?) and USF needed an unlikely upset.  It didn't work out for either of us.

So can we win 2 more games?  Yes we can...but I wouldn't put money on it.  UAB and Houston can both beat us easily.  Rice lookde good against UTEP last night as well.

Rice should be a lock.  UAB will be VERY tough, but i'd say you should be able to win vs Houston.... where is that game being played?

We have our chances to recover (espicially after the USF game) for a very good year (alot better than I predicted).  I do feel we need at least 7 wins to get an invite.  We have no history for the bowl committies to base an offer against another school with such a history.
