TAMPA, FLA., April 20, 2019 – The USF baseball team totaled 19 runs on 22 hits to sweep Saturday’s doubleheader and complete the weekend sweep over The Citadel, winning with finals of 7-2 and 12-9.

Trailing, 8-3, the Bulls again scored six in the fourth to take a 9-8 edge. The Citadel tied things in the fifth before a Jake Sullivan (Tampa) sac fly scoring Alex Bello (Miami) turned into the winning run. Senior righty Richie Cruz (Miami) was lights out in relief, and USF added two more in the seventh.
