That seems to be spreading like wildfire.  I think the stipulation is as long as UAB doesn't play Alabama or Auburn and USM doesn't play Ole Miss or Miss State(the SEC schools are afraid to lose to the instate CUSA school).

That would give the SEC nine bowl tie-ins. Good deal for CUSA if true.

Currently the SEC has deals with the BCS, Outback, Citrus, Cotton, Peach, Independence, Music City, and Houston bowls. The Liberty would make nine if they keep all the others.

The SEC likes to keep its bowl pecking order vague. But #6 sounds about right, below the Peach but above the Independence/Music City.

Plus Conference Bowls (like the SEC) will try and match teams in their lower bowls for best possible "location" aka higher bowl attendance.

Once you get down to the $1.5 M and below Bowls...payouts in huge Conferences like the SEC are very minimal.

Since many SEC Teams play relatively weak non-conf schedules...and many go 3-0 (next year probably 4-0), those teams only need to win 2-3 SEC Games out of 8 to go Bowling in the future.
