Two other players were also suspended, both of them backups. No one knows the length of the suspensions yet, at least I don't, so they may play against USF or they may be out for multiple games. Stay tuned!

There's a pictorial in ESPN mag of the kid and PSU's leading tackler.  They're a coupla hardnose LBs.  To bad for the Nittany Lions.

I wish he was playing. Then when we beat PSU, we wouldn't hear the old, "well, if we had so and so..." Hey to me a team is a team, not an individual. You lose as a team and win as a team. It is unfortunate however the young man failed to use discretion. This is where dicipline comes in and Joe Paterno is the coach of old school to do it. My hat's off to him for his code of conduct!    Reaper

More great news for the Bulls our leading returning WR maybe out for the season with an injury suffered today at practice.  We are now waiting for the results of the MRI.  This is killing me!

We have our own problems. I presume you know about OUR injuries:

USF already has lost starting FS Danny Verpaele (broken foot) and back-up DE Jarriett Buie (broken ankle) to injuries

I didntknow that Howie thanks for the info.  I think I have heard Buie's name some place before.  Just sounded familiar.

I have to say I go to a lot of other teams boards and I get along with this one more than any of the others.  This is like a second home for me now lol.

I wish you guys all theluck after 9/3/05.   ;)

Well, Buie was a very highly touted recruit when he signed with us in 2004. He failed to qualify and enrolled at USF for the year and was now eligible.

We expected he would play a significant role this year for us:

INJURY UPDATE: Defensive end Jarriett Buie, a sophomore from Armwood who Tuesday broke his left fibula where it connects with the ankle, had surgery and will miss at least five games.

"It's difficult (losing Buie)," said Leavitt, who also has safety Danny Verpaele (foot) and running back Ricky Ponton (shoulder) sidelined. "He's a great player and it just breaks your heart. He was going to play a lot of football for us."

He was offered by: Florida, FSU, Iowa and Pitt among others, so you know he had to be pretty good:

Like Pitt fans back in 2001. They had one player out, I think also a WR, and blamed their loss on that.  ::)

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
