First, each week scout players must learn the basic plays of our next opponent. So basically Denson was learning new plays each week. Second, there is no substitute for playing and executing. Denson I am sure knows the plays, but does he know them enough to get to the line and check into a better play, does he know them enough to go through his progressions on a pass play. Does he know them enough that he doesn't have to worry about execution and can work on refining the small stuff.
