Conference play continues this weekend. Twenty-one runs were scored in the game, as the Pirates closed-out a five-game home stand with a 13-8 slugfest win against Wofford to increase their winning streak to four in a row. ECU will resume nonconference play this weekend for a three-game series at Washington. The Pirates answered a five-run Wofford rally in the sixth inning with a six-run surge in the seventh. Five Pirates had multiple hits, as catcher Seth Caddell went 3-for-4 with a career-high five RBIs. Right-hander Zach Barnes kept Wofford hit-less and scoreless through the final 2.1 innings to earn the win. Wichita State used a two-run home run from outfielder Dayton Dugas in the seventh inning to take down Oklahoma State, 7-5 and snap a two-game skid. Dugas collected his 100th career hit and went 2-for-4, with three RBIs, hitting his third home run of the season. The Shockers will host for the first time in American Athletic Conference play when Tulane heads to Kansas this weekend.
