Remember something else... E.A. Sports has a partnership with the University of Central Florida... UCF students will be working at EA Sports programmng games...

At least I think that is what I read some time ago.

Yes, that is true.  Not that it means anything.

Indeed it doesnt.  UCF was made out to be absolutely terrible in the game.

You dont really *need* an impact kicker, and their only defensive playmaker is a corner.  And they're C overall.

Despite ALL of that, I fail to see how FIU is better than nearly all of the sunbelt, USF, half of CUSA, and equal to conneticut.

Some teams are right on (USC, Miami, FSU) and looking at some you gotta be kidding (Bama ranked high, FIU, Nebraska being clearly better than kansas state...etc).

It's either arbitrary, or very biased.  Some teams with abysmal records from last year were actually made BETTER, USF worse.  And some teams with very good records like navy or FAU got hosed badly.

I have simulated the game 5 times and UCF won four of them.

Go Figure.

I think your game system needs to be repaired!

Does home field advantage matter?  Maybe UCF would beat USF at home and vise versa?

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."

    Jim Leavitt
