You have to wonder why USF has not built a new baseball stadium.  They are not that expensive  when you compare it to other athletic facilities.

STK: USF is rebuilding its facilities one project at a time, I believe someone posted the long range plan for USF athletic facilities upgrades awhile back.

Yes I know that, but they are funding the whole thing with bonds.  You have to wonder as good as college baseball is in Florida, why USF never built a stadium.  USF never had to build its own basketball arena and did not have football expenses until eight years ago.  So what the hell did USF do with that student fee revenue.

I do not believe there was an athletic fee placed upon the students until the inception of football.

I am sure Howie can find an article stating when the athletic fee came into being at USF.

I would say level of interest has had a lot to do with the slow degradation in baseball facilities at USF.  I've been around USF a long time, there are very few who care about it and that includes some involved athletics.
