Regarding UCLA not being on an Athlon Cover!

Normally that cover would have a UCLA Bruin in an inset somewhere for the magazine that's on sale throughout Southern California.

All the other Pac-10 teams make the cover in one of three other regional editions.

"I called to ask them if it was true and to make sure we hadn't done something wrong," said UCLA sports information director Marc Dellins, who reminded Athlon that with nine Pac-10 teams on its covers, only UCLA was un-covered.

Light promised Dellins: "It almost certainly won't happen again."

"I can understand that," Dellins said, with a much more laid-back response than the folks at South Florida, whose Bulls suffered the same fate in getting squeezed off covers with Miami, Florida State and Florida.

"They complained so much we promised them we'd do an Internet-sales-only edition with them on the cover," Light said, "and it's sold pretty well."

i received an email about 2 weeks ago saying they have been delayed.

I received the same message when I emailed them about the whereabouts of the my magazine.

Does anyone remember when Altron Jackson graced the cover of Lindy's College Basketball preview?
