Kickoff Times Set for Nittany Lions' First Three Games

Season Opener With South Florida at 3:30 p.m.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa., June 16, 2005 - The Penn State football team will open the 2005 season with three home games and the kickoff times for all three contests have been set.

The Nittany Lions open the campaign September 3, hosting South Florida at 3:30 p.m. The contest will be televised by ESPN Plus, as well as nationally on ESPNU. The ESPN Plus affiliates are to be announced. The Lions and Bulls will be meeting for the first time. The contest will be South Florida's first as a member of the Big East Conference.

USF Game at Penn State Picked up by ESPNU

USF’s season opening football game at Penn State will air on ESPNU and ESPN-Plus, the network announced today. The game will be played September 3, at 3:30 p.m. Television plans and game times for USF’s remaining games are still to be determined.

ESPN Regional TV, USF’s media rights holder is working with Tampa Bay area affiliates to air the game via ESPN-Plus.
