I think he's serious and probably right.

Perhaps, but repeating it ad nauseum has made it stale.

I don't know about killing us, but I think Pitt's going to be a much better team with Dave Wanstadt at the helm.  Pitt's always had some solid athletes, and been real competitive, but they lacked that killer edge with Harris.  You know Dave's going to make their defense first rate, he's going to impress on speed, and he's going to instill an attitude that was missing in this program even during Harris' years.

With Palko, Lee, those freshmen RB's coming in, an enormous line.  Pitt's season is tailor made for a big year.  They get ND in the first game before ND's probably got comfortable with the new staff.  They win that then it's Ohio U, then it's to Lincoln against NU, The Big Red Machine.  This one's a toughy, but we all know NU's stil a bit down and if they can get it going Pitt could walkaway with a victory.  After that game Pitt doesn't have a major challenge until UL on 11/3, other than USF of course (and they've got three home games).  Pitt could build some serious momentum by then.

If we don't step up big time in many areas a repeat of last year's performance could be achieved.   Our staff better have these boys prepared, and spitting fire.  The season's going to be a tough one.
