Players don't get nearly as much leeway. You're not going to last long as an ump if players can get away with giving you ****. I never got tossed as a player, but the two times I got thrown out as a coach I was asking for it. One time I went to the mound and just hung out with my players until the home plate ump came out to break it up and I said something to the effect of asking him what took so long for him to come out, it seemed like he came out that night to be the center of attention and I was just letting him have some time on the mound in front of crowd with his mask off so everyone could get a good look. That didn't go over well. The other time I was just pissed off and railed on a base ump until he finally threw me out. I had to work for it, though. I don't think he'd ever ejected anyone before so it took some good jabs to push him over the edge. Edited May 8, 2017 by JTrue
