APRIL 22, 2017 – Due to heavy rain in the MidSouth region, the University of South Florida baseball team and the Memphis Tigers will play the final two games of this weekend’s series on Sunday with a doubleheader set to start at 11:00 a.m. The originally scheduled middle game was to be played Saturday at 3:00 p.m., but was moved back twice before a decision was made to make Sunday a doubleheader. The first game will be seven innings and will begin at 11:00 a.m. ET. The second will be nine innings. Both games can be heard on AM 1040 and watched on GoTigersGo.com/watch. Should be Shane's start. He pitched in a 7 inning game earlier in the year against Harvard. I believe it was a complete game win. Either way it helps both bullpens with 2 less innings to manage. Yeah but with the Bulls having a penchant for late inning comebacks it's not ideal to chop a conference game, but I understand it's for the safety of the players.
