Gonna sidetrack here a bit, but I think a lot of the "puzzle of success" also went to the recruiting ability and trust placed in Willie Taggart.  But, he left a lot of kids and coaches behind.  Yes, "it's a business" but these kids that thought they had a leader/father type and yet, got abandoned.  I'm glad Charlie is in place.  I hope he realizes the success he could have if he were as committed to the young men he recruits as they are to him.

Good thread OP. I was one who had a lot of concerns at the beginning of the season, but seeing how these guys handled their business and won the front lines against a decent SEC defense...man, I'm very impressed. That one play where Q had all day to run checks before throwing to DJ in the middle--tells a great story.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
