USF Finalizes Three-Game Series With Florida International  

(May 3, 2005) Tampa, Fla. -- The University of South Florida football team will host Florida International in 2006 and 2009 with a third game scheduled for 2008 in Miami.

The Bulls, who join the Big East this fall, will meet the Golden Panthers September 2, 2006 and September 19 or 26, 2009 in Raymond James Stadium. The two teams will play at FIU Stadium, September 20, 2008.

Not trying to discuss smack on this board, but the UCFers are crying that this means we're trying to duck them and start a rivalry with someone else.  Their posts on their board are actually quite amusing.  This falls into the category of "Just FYI".

I am glad to see we signed this series and I hope to extend the series with UCF as well.  The more we play in Florida, the more potential recruits will come to the games and see us.  The more press it will get around the state, the better it is for our program and recruiting.  

We need to play as many in state games as we can.
