I have a greater interest in the Miami game.  I will not make the PSU trip, but might make the Miami one.  Plus, we are supposed to get a return visit from Miami, which makes it a more compelling game for me.

State College, PA for Penn St is a can't miss trip...especially if USF signed just a 1 year deal.

USF will travel to Miami twice...so if you had to choose, I would pick one of the best College Towns in the USA...see Joe Pa run out on the field...get your photo taken by the huge bronze statue outside Stadium...and enjoy $3 Yeungling Pitchers at the 'Skellar.

This decision is not even close.

I re-read the post a couple times, I guess canepain is asking of the Pitt and PSU game, which one is better?  I think I misunderstood his original post.

I would prefer the Pitt game, because its a conference game, but I will likely not attend either.

It depends on what you are after.  PSU will probably be a better college game atmosphere.  They usually pack the Beav with 100,000 no matter who they are playing.  There just isn't much else to do there.  Pitt will probably bring about 30,000 unless they are still really pissed about the loss we handed them in 2001.  Pittsburgh obviously provides more entertainment, dining and hotel options.  The Steelers are also in town that weekend which is rare.  If you play your cards right, you could see USF/Pitt and Steelers/Jags that weekend.

I was definitely going to the Pitt game but my wife is due 3 weeks later.  I have a feeling I won't be attending this year.

If I were going to attend anything in PA, it would be Penn State, due to it being a one-time-shot. The away game this year is going to be Miami.

The "what else is there" factor is big for my away games. It's an excuse to visit on the way, or it's got some tourist appeal to me and the wife.

I'm headed to the PSU game.  No way will I miss a once-in-a-Bull's-lifetime chance to see Leavitt go up against Joe Pa...
