Doesnt attend class, late to meetings and prac. has been in trouble with the law for fighting twice, and they got him on video and his mom says" he's not that type of kid"  and the girl friend thing is crap!! the other boy was walking away from him when he hit and threw him down!!  As far as talent he's great, and personnaly would love for my son to compete agianst him, it would only make him better, but not the luggage!!

True....but he never had the a freshman qb as talented as schaeffer and couple that with the lack of talent between RB & PJ and I think he would have started for us lasy yr.

It is all a moot point at this juncture.....

Well, we will get a chance to test it this fall.

I'd much rather see Grothe in there against PSU, but I seriously doubt that would happen no matter how good he looks over the summer.

to be honest i would say denson just because he has a yr in the system.

However, if grothe outplays him I hope i see him in happy valley.

Well, I would expect that Denson could beat out PJ. Denson was rated the #1 QB in Florida and #5 in the country. I think that was even better than Schaeffer.

But, Denson is NOT a true freshman like Schaeffer was at UT.

Blackwell started here as a red-shirt freshman.

I believe that Leavitt will end up starting PJ at PSU and let him dig his own grave and then put in Denson in the 2nd half of the game.

I think longer than Glen Gauntt, but at least Gauntt's earlier exit set the stage for the QB that built the foundation.  I'm hoping for a repeat!

Indeed.  No where in all this lusting for Shaeffer should anyone get the impression that newcomers Grothe, Hill and Denson have experienced any change in our hearts.  We want and admire these guys like we always have and if Shaeffer comes - there will be more competition which will make everyone better.  I hope Shaeffer gets here and gets his act in gear and really competes for the job. I know that will make us stronger and more confident having a stable of studs that can lead this team for the next five years or so.
