It looks like our boy JR Reed will be featured in the new Next Gen Madden commerical which will air during the NFL draft!!

From: http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/sports/maddennfl2006/preview_6122758.html?tag=boxcar_all_preview_headline

Scheduled to air during the first half hour of the 2005 NFL Draft, this 30-second commercial spot will be the public's first glimpse of EA Sports' biggest franchise and indeed one of the most notable franchises in all of videogames.

The rest of the clip is all football action, as a virtual referee blows a whistle to get things started. Giants' kicker Jay Feely rushes towards the football to kick off a simulated game, and the next shot shows the ball spinning through the air, directly into the waiting arms of Eagles' safety and special teams man J.R. Reed, who is promptly laid out by a stalking member of the Giants' special teams squad. A slick-looking injury graphic immediately follows the hit, showing a close-up view of a torn tendon (or the like), and giving an immediate diagnosis on the player's condition and the amount of time he is expected to miss.

I just wish he wasn't getting hurt....

He must have a pretty good agent, to get him a gig while injured.

Wonder if this was created prior to JR's fence injury.....if so, than this is another eerie coincidence that add's to the curse of the Madden Football video games. Haven't their been a string of guys on the cover of this game running into serious injuries and poor play quickly thereafter?

The Eagles are a cursed team, and there's nothing to reverse it like another curse.  It would only be fitting superstition for one of my best games to also uncurse my team.  So ha to all of you, the Eagles are taking it next year, even if I have to go do it for them.
