Hoopscooponline rates David Sills as a "6".

When they update their site with him added we should be tied for 30th recruiting class.

Did you know that Sills played with a former Bull while at Southern Idaho...?

One Yusuf Baker

I was going to mention that, didn't know if anyone else caught that

Velcro...I'm not sure what the "rules" are any longer, but I thought this thread should have been on the recruiting board. Maybe you can clarify.

I don't recall seeing Franklin's names on the stat sheets for each game.  I followed Bakers progress there... i don't think Sheldon made it on campus.

Nice to see he can make free throws:

8/14/03 Brooklyn Scout: 'David Sills, a 6-1 point guard from Harlem (NY) has transferred from Odessa (TX) JC to Southern Idaho JC for his sophomore season. As a freshman at Odessa in 2002-03, Sills averaged 14.7 points, 2.5 rebounds aand 2.0 assists. He shot 39% from the floor, including 30% of his three-pointers, and made 79% of his free throws for the 17-10 Wranglers.  Sills received first-team honors in the NJCAA Region V and in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference. He originally signed with Northeastern out of Bronx Regional HS, where he  led his team to the PSAL ALternative League city championship.'

Looks like Sills didn't play much in 2003 for CSI, but in the games he did play, he WAS a scoring machine...

Wasn't Sheriff just whining on these boards the other day that Mac only recruits guys with a squeky clean resume? Where are you now Sheriff gloom and doom? This guy looks to have a few blemishes on his resume but Mac is taking a chance on him.

I think from reading about this kid, his basketball skills are great...Him coming here is not just a great decision for our team but also for him as an individual...Coach will no doubt mold him into a fine young man....And if we can land him, we might not have the throw freshman, Chris Howard, in immediatley at the point which would help out a lot
