    well, with my heart in my throat at the end of the game, 30-29 somehow would have felt like a deeper knife cut. Thank goodness the D toughened up when it mattered most. That sack was killer.

    The point was for you to get out more and see how the rest of the world operates. I would hate for you to fill their impressionable minds with a victim mentality and no matter what they do they are at a disadvantage when this could not be further from the truth. The world is their oyster in this great country and the decisions they make today will mold their future. For anyone to think we have not made tremendous strides from the 60’s until now in race relations does not have their eyes open or refuses to accept the truth due to their own political agenda.

    Kids in this generation (in general) aren't raised to see rules as requirements. It also seems uncommon for them to be schooled on how NOT to get caught.

    I really have no idea how our team will come out today, so I feel neither optimistic nor pessimistic...just want to see a spark. I definitely agree with CCS though, that our guys have to come out guns blazing to start the game. They don't have the confidence in themselves to play a comeback game yet.

    Maybe time for a teleconference or personal visit with CWT on turning the corner with our team. I was hopeful SCSt was evidence that the coaches had found some strengths to exploit, but SMU snuffed out those hopes. But this could really be a do or die for this coaching staff...

    After going down by 4 TDs and no points on our side, I gave up on thinking we'd figure it out. Similar to Taggart's first year, where things just inexplicably don't click, so I'm hoping it's all just some team storming and that they'll figure out the offense, their assignments, each other, etc...you know, like what they should have already had behind them but don't yet.

    Excited, yes. Expectations, nope nope, not gonna fall for it. I'm going with the "pleasant surprise" approach like last season--it worked for me.
