  1. really i haven't seen anything saying its done. all ive seen is that we met with him last night and we were wowed. if it went so great he'd have a contract on his desk right now Could be negotiating and working out details (compensation, assistant coach salary pool, etc). But I'll wait to hear something substantial instead of just 100% accepting some twitter rumors.
  2. Wonder why..... wtf Saw something that said this tweet was deleted soon after it was posted... no longer seeing it anywhere.
  3. Every rumor on twitter is saying that there is a ton of interest in the job. I'm positive we will have no problem landing a good coach... "FootballScoop Staff â€@footballscoop I don't know who South Florida's AD is truly interested in; but goodness I've heard of a lot of coaches that want that job Retweeted by Greg Auman" FootballScoop Staff â€@footballscoop .@alexmarvez has reported that Houston Nutt will interview with South Florida. Said it a few times…huge interest in that job. Huge.
  4. Here's a stat for you... Chris Coyer, the Temple QB, has a season completion percentage of 53% and besides the game against us, his highest completion percentage in a game is 50%. 80% against us. We make horrible passing QBs look like Peyton Manning.
  5. We could throw together 11 guys from TBP and be able to find holes in cosh's zone defense with a completion percentage of 70%. Anyone on here know how to throw a 10-20 yard pass over the middle?
  6. 4 out the last 5 is pretty laughable considering what we've seen so far this year and how last year played out. Last year we only had to win 2 of our last 8 games to become bowl eligible. Then all of a sudden we needed to win 1 of the last 3, but I was still confident. Then it came down to WVU and we all know what happened.
  7. Beat Florida? I'd be surprised if Holtz could beat Florida Atlantic at this point.
  8. I don't see use beating Cuse. They have the best passing offense in the Big East, a good QB, and two good receivers. Our defense has allowed a 69.4% completion rate against opposing QBs, which is the 2nd worst in FBS. As for Uconn... Yes they're terrible, but they've also beaten use the last two years without scoring an offensive touchdown. And these are the two most winnable games on our schedule.
  9. you put those two back there and they will get killed--- hurt-- and be out of the game and then we have a pissed off BJ at the the helm anyway. Yeah-- that will work out great. how about we make an adjustment to our offense that plays on BJ's strengths-- i.e. a rolling pocket-- more of a spread offense we won't because Skip doesn't want to change even though his job is on the line. It's moronic to keep doing things the same way and expecting different results. He can comfort himself all he wants with this losing by a play or two BS-- but it is the dumbest coaching job I have ever seen from any coach period. Just a clarification... I wasn't suggesting to put Eveld or Floyd in the game, just noting that they would get actually destroyed if they did play. Your post is dead on.
  10. BJ is definitely "part" if the problem, but not even close to the biggest part. Coaching, entire defense, O-line are all way worse than BJ. Put Eveld or Floyd back there and we are looking at 10 sacks a game.
  11. 1) USF 2) 31-28 3) Daniels 4) Mitchell 5) 369 I have this weird feeling that this is the game that the defense finally gets a pick. The last one came against Geno Smith, so why not get one against Teddy Bridgewater? Bulls overcome coaching blunders and somehow manage to pull it out.
  12. No way. Student section is about 2000 I think, at least, and I expect that to be very close to filled. We had 3,000 last year for Cleveland State. So you're saying after going into the 3rd round of the NCAA tourney, opening a newly, heavily remodeled dome, and playing our in-state rival, is only going to bring in 500-1K more than playing CSU off-campus would? yes. I never cared about USF basketball, but I started watching them down the stretched last year and got hooked. Combine the tourney run with the new building, and I think there will be a lot of people at this game that never really cared about USF basketball in the past, myself included. That being said, I still think a sellout might be a stretch. Does anyone know the attentendance of the WVU game at the end of the season last year? If that game didn't draw 10K, I'm not sure this one will.
  13. Clean all of the Ray J restrooms with a toothbrush after each home loss.
  14. Just wait until next season. Offense: Daniels, Lamar, Murray, Landi, Marc, Edwards, Popek... GONE Defense: Barrington, Lanaris, Tabuteau, Webster, Baker, Grissom, Lejiste... GONE Special teams: Bonani, Brockhaus-Kahn...GONE Options at QB are Floyd, Eveld, or a true freshman. Eveld hasn't shown any improvement and do you really expect this coaching staff to be able to develop a young QB? Holtz will definitely be our coach next year, and I would surprised if any coordinator changes are made. It's going to be brutal.
  15. Exactly. The kid has limits, and we all know that, but I've never questioned his heart and effort, which cannot be said for the rest of the team. Nothing but respect for #7.
  16. This kid catches so much heat from our fan base, yet without him, we would be hopeless. He might not be the best pocket passer, but the kid plays his heart out and gives us a chance. You put floyd or Eveld out there with our Swiss cheese line and we are looking at 10 sacks a game. We have many problems with this team, but BJ is hardly this biggest one.
  17. Oh no. Listening to this will be like randomly seeing an ex girlfriend that you're still in love with.
  18. Im in 240 which is mostly new alumni so its pretty rowdy. We'll be with ya E.T. !!!
  19. "Raymond James Stadium is built on an old Indian burial ground."
  20. The defense didn't want to disrespect Native American culture.
  21. I saw this in the comments section of GA's blog and had to share. Full credit goes to the poster on there that goes by "el toro". Headline after the FSU game: Holtz: Dog Ate the Game Plan "Holtz blamed the 72 point loss on his dog that chewed up the game plan. Holtz lamented on the canine's actions, 'The dog just wasn't prepared to be well behaved... and after all those obedience lessons.'"
