    I think we are better off with the new staff, but it will still be hard to overcome the lack of depth and talent at some key positions.

    I'm not sure why so many people are upset with this hire. We just hired a guy with a ton of experience, was part of national championship staff, lead an NFL team to the playoffs as DC 4 times, and has coached future hall of famers. USF is a young program, not in a major conference, has never won a conference championship, and I'm assuming had a budget of around $300,000. Not sure what some were expecting from our DC hire.

    That "gimmick" has lead to 4 straight BCS games and only 7 losses in the last 4 seasons combined. I know we will be running a pro style offense with Coach T, but if USF's offense ever resembled Oregon's, I wouldn't complain for a second.

    We all saw in BJ's first start that he had big play ability and could change the momentum of a game with one play. Floyd hasn't shown that ability or much of anything in his first few starts.

    Host previously asked GOL about Willie T saying that he wants to control the I-4 corridor and coach O’Leary said, “Show me, don’t talk about it.†The host asks Taggart, “I guess the rivalry has begun huh?†Coach T replies (loosely quoted) - No doubt, well give me time to show you. You know, I just got here. We aren’t going to just talk about, you asked me a question and I gave you an answer. You know, but I also plan on doing it, that’s our goal, that’s our expectation. We really don’t care what anyone else thinks, it’s all about us. I think the response is refreshing, since you know Holtz would have answered the question by taking 10 minutes to say what a great guy O’Leary is and how he’s “doing some good things†with his program.

    I find it interesting that this is at least the 2nd interview of Taggart by an Orlando radio station that I've seen. I've never heard anything about UCF on Tampa sports radio. The reply to George O'Leary around the 2:25 mark is awesome.

    -USF has potential and everything you need to be successful -Being a hometown guy helps with recruiting -Not worried about Big East situation because it's out of his control. The only thing he can control is winning ball games Real basic, nothing new.

    Bruce Feldman from CBS is reporting that Skip will accept the La Tech job in the next 2 hours. Timing of firings and no interviews makes sense now.

    I just heard on Gary and the Commish that appartently Josh Newberg is saying that it's his gut feeling that Asiantii won't be going to USF.

    After having to listen to Holtz's press conferences for the last 3 years, as great of a guy as he is, this was incredibly refreshing.

    I'm a winner. Its a sprint not a marathon. We wont bow down to anyone. I wouldn't change jobs unless I thought I had a chance to win the national championship. USF just got it's swagger back!
